Cleavage: A Pop Micro-drama by Queen Anne
A quick compilation post while we wait for the next Queen Anne single!
Earlier this year I became aware of a phenomenon that the movie studios are starting to push: the micro-drama. These are essentially short-form visual drama series told in 3-minute chunks like Reels or YouTube shorts. They are technically straightforward to make, which means that indie creators and fans can make their own. They are riotously popular in the far east, which is why Hollywood is taking a keen interest.
It turns out that Queen Anne's Katie Silverman had been busy making a micro-drama of her own. Known provocatively as Cleavage, it refers to a different sort of cleavage to the one you are probably thinking of. The idea of separation between yourself and your creative persona. The splitting or cleaving of the two led to a memorable storyline on her socials recently. I have helpfully collected the five episodes (and counting) below.
Just before you enjoy that, Katie Silverman also popped onto my big screen too, featuring as a student in High Potential, one of my current favourites on Disney Plus.
